Unreleased Demo Album: “Stream Of Life”
From 1999 to 2001 / Source: Tags in several tracks include a mention about this unreleased demo album / “If I recall correctly, this unreleased album was originally planned to be released on a netlabel. Some songs where entered in various music competitions and found their way onto the web that way. But I don’t think there ever was a fixed tracklist: it was more like a ‘friends and family’ demo with a burned cd and a home-printed cover, so the tracklist might have changed several times” [Carl Larsson].

Single Tracks
1 – Shai (Original Mix) 9:45
1999 / Source: MP3 file still available on Ethereal’s website / First track ever completed by Ethereal / “Fredrik did most of that by himself, I only supplied the drum track (and maybe some of the bass lines I think). I believe it was almost entirely made with a single software synth, and once we got some more toys to play with we wanted to do a remake of the track, which resulted in ‘Shai 2000’. I think that one was planned to be included on an Ethereal album, so it could have been on the Stream of Life demo cd. I don’t remember why it didn’t make it to “Anima Mundi”, but I know that a few elements from it (not many) were rolled into the “Anima Mundi” version of ‘All Systems Are Go’ [Carl Larsson]; “Indeed, a single software was used . My computer was not fast enough to run all the synth sounds in realtime, and I don’t think the synth even had support for that back then. Everything had to be programmed directly in the software synth with its built-in step sequencer and then rendered out to wave-files” [Fredrik Haglund].
