A house music track that sounds very similar to “René Et Gaston – Vallée De Larmes” and has nothing to do with the released track ‘Nice Toy’ (1998).

2 – Etnica – Micropoint (AKA Microcellula Tribale)  6:52
Tribal italo dance track, also similar to tracks produced by René Et Gaston released on the label “Fresh Fruit Records”

DAT 3

137 BPM / Trance track with whistles sounds and voices in the background, typical effects used at the time in club music.

125 BPM / Guitar: Filippo Scrimizzi / Darker trance with guitars.

3 – Etnica – The Gili’s Voyage (Ketu Remix / Different Mix)   8:18
Unreleased mix. ‘Oblio New Remix’ it is the original name of the track.

DAT 4 (Demo ’94)
1994 / Source: Etnica archives, Ibiza. The tracks were experimental versions and have little similarities with the tracks that they released in those years, some of these could be classified as techno.

1 – Etnica – Elevator  7:35
Has a melody that is similar to trip tonight, a very early experiment of the band.

2 – Etnica – Axid  6:37
Dark techno track with some acid elements.

3 – Etnica – Ecnart  6:54
A track that has whistles and some atmosphere to it, but still an experiment more related to techno than trance.

4 – Etnica – Liquid Brain  5:53
Acid techno track.

Single Tracks

1 – Tribe –  Gilligan’s Island (Tony Montana Mix) 6:59
1993-07-14 / Source: Etnica archives, Milan. An alternate mix to the released version of the track. The track features a sample of “Tony Montana” from the “Scarface” movie. The track was also called “Etnica – Spectral Confusion (Mix 2)” on the tape. This version cannot be released because of the mentioned sample.

2 – Etnica – Visitation Of Energy (Mix 1)  9:06
1995 / Source: Etnica archives, Ibiza. The original name of the track “Intense Visitation”. Mix 2 Executive is 9:05 and was released on the Juggeling Alchemist 3CD reissue. The mix that was originally released in the rare vinyl promo in the Goa Gil mix and finally on Mind Rewind was originally called “Visitation Of Energy (Nighttime Mix)”

3 – Etnica Screaming Butterfly (Alternate Mix) 8:59
1995 / Source: Etnica archives, Milan. An alternate mix to the released version of the track. Most probably the original first version of the track as on the dat tape it was called “Cosmic Mandala”.

1996 / Source: Etnica archives, Ibiza

5 – Etnica – Electric Shower (Version 2)  8:47

1996 / Source: Etnica archives, Ibiza. Tiny differences compared to the released version.

9 – Etnica – Orion  13:09
1996 / Source: Etnica archives, Ibiza & Milan. The track has been known for years as “Fluorophilia” which was actually the name of the never released album that had to come out in 1996. Exists also in an edited form, long 8:21 with some differences in the intro that was found in a DAT tape of the band in Milan.

10 – Etnica – Never Say Never  10:22
1996 / Source: Etnica archives, Milan. Downtempo track. Listed also as “Pleiadians – Headspin (Etnica Ambient Remix)” as a collector from Macedonia had it on Minidisc and asked confirmation of authenticity from Mauri back in ’99 or ’00. The correct title was finally found in a dat tape of the band in Milan. Sounds vaguely as a remix of Orion. The dat tape also had a track before it, long only 4:52 that seems like an intro to the track. Untitled.

1998 /  Source: Etnica archives, Ibiza. A different track that has only some similarities with the released “Trip In Transkei” track. Notes
• The track that circulates incorrectly as “Etnica – People Of Alcatraz” is actually the unreleased track “Earthling – Venus”.
• The track that circulates incorrectly as “Etnica – Bitch” is actually by a Greek project named Wandala.
• The track that circulates incorrectly as “Etnica – No Name” is actually Alkaloid – Influx (Unreleased)
• The track listed on a French DAT as “Etnica – Rex” is actually the released track “Etnica – SA 2000”.
• The track listed as ‘Dj UX – Stellar Evolution (Etnica Remix)’ does not refer to Kris Kylven’s project, but to the MP3.com project of Robin Gunning (Promon). This track was never remixed by Etnica members.
• The track that circulates as ‘Asterope (Remix)’ or ‘Asterope (Live Mix)’ is actually part of the full live version of the “I.F.O.” album, which is listed in the “Live Sets/Tracks” section.
• The unreleased “Pleiadians – Alcyone (Remix)” (9:14) is a 2006 remix, made by Maurizio Begotti alone.
• On the DAT of Etnica’s “The Juggeling Alchemists Under The Black Light” album there was the track ‘Boarding Pass To Balangan’ that was intended to be released on the album, but then shifted and became a Pleiadians track. This DAT was labelled 12/94 (the exact date “The Juggeling…” album was finalized). Also from 12/94 is ‘Chemical Trance’, which appears on a DAT as 137 BPM, time 9:28 (info on the 12″ was 125 BPM, time 9:20).
• ‘Trip Tonite’ appears labelled as ‘(Final Mix)’ on a single-track DAT with date June 95.
• On another DAT (date: 10/6/95) appears the track “Etnica – Cosmics” (133 BPM, 8:00), which is ‘Kumba Mela‘ by Etnica & DJ Cosmix.
• “Etnica – Le Sette Sorelle” (110 BPM / 16:08 / 1996 / source: Etnica archives, Ibiza) is the same track released later as ‘Seven Sisters’ on ‘Family Of Light‘ album, as ‘Le Sette Sorelle’ means exactly ‘Seven Sisters’ in Italian.
• The first etnica compositions are from early 1994, there were no tracks composed, as Etnica, in 1992/1993. There were some wrong information shared before their actual archives were ripped, where each tape was labelled and dated. The track Pacific Love, somewhere said to be from 1992, it is in fact from 1994 and the track Tribute, wrongly said to be from 1993 it is in fact from 1995 in its 7 different mixes/versions, not listed here.
